Integration into the existing infrastructure
Original1 On-Demand can claim to offer the best possible support if you choose to store your data internally. Provided that your internal Track & Trace system is using the EPCIS standard then it can be easily connected to Original1 On-Demand via a REST interface.
For example, you can manage your events with your own Track & Trace system and use your existing infrastructure for the administration of serial numbers. In addition to randomly generated serial numbers provided by the Original1 On-Demand Product Serialization function, it is also possible to address external data sources. In this case in response to an authentication, Original1 On-Demand requests your system to check the validity of the corresponding serial number. Upon receiving confirmation of validity the product information stored in Original1 On-Demand is attached to the response and displayed in the normal manner on the respective end device.
